Humanitarian Innovation

Everywhere we look there is AI — and it’s already having an impact. The real question is not about AI-enabled innovations but one of how it affects innovators — and the organisations employing them?

We are placing an emphasis on applying AI into teaching and coaching of innovation management. We use AI in our training in modules at different stages.

Successful innovation  is about creating value from ideas . However,  isn’t just a matter of creating a viable and valuable solution. It’s having impact with that solution by scaling across markets and geographies.

Scaling isn’t easy. The good news is that we know quite a bit about scaling value  -  creating impact at scale.

A key area of our work involves the challenges posed around innovation in the humanitarian sector and on questions around user inclusion in innovation. Projects here have included work for the United Nations, the Humanitarian Innovation Fund and DFID.

We can offer workshop-based support for entrepreneurs moving their innovations to scale. Currently, we are looking into the role of evidence in supporting diffusion of humanitarian innovation.

Musification for Innovation

Music offers an effective method for learning content. Since 2013 we have been working on  the concept of 'musification' as an approach to demonstrate and support its use among educators, learners, and organizations.

By facilitating the creation of songs about innovation management we try to expand pedagogical approaches and introduce musification as a new practice for organisations to increase engagement and skills development.

Managing Impact

In the rapidly developing Impact Management domain, we are focusing on its methodology at a project level. We are growing our expertise addressing such issues as:

  • How can we predict impact in project planning looking into the future;

  • How do we grow and scale impact in what we are doing presently,

  • How do we actually measure impact that we have delivered, looking into the past activities.

Innovation in Healthcare

It is in the 'professional DNA' of healthcare workers that they can’t make mistakes, and healthcare organisations are by default risk averse. However, failures are a part of innovation journey.

How to help healthcare professionals overcome this challenge of individuals being innovative in a context in which they can’t fail? We have methodologies for developing skills on entrepreneurship competences and innovation mindset in health sector.
